Definition

The black widow spider (Latrodectus mactans) has a glossy black body with a red hourglass on the ventral area. The bite of this spider is poisonous.

Where is

Treatment at home

Bites into the funnel web spider is extremely poisonous. It should seek immediate medical attention and call the Poison Center for guidance. Also, apply a bandage and firm pressure on the sting and immobilize the affected area, if possible, to prevent the spread of venom.
